Tech2stay – Strengthening and Retaining Women in IT

It is no coincidence that women are leaving IT

The project “Tech2stay” explores why female professionals leave the IT sector and develops solutions to encourage women to stay. Its goal is to sustainably improve the working conditions for women in the IT industry and promote their long-term retention. Together with partners from science, industry and education, we collect current data, analyse everyday practices in corporate culture and develop concrete, gender-sensitive intervention approaches.

Tech2stay is a joint initiative of Heilbronn University, the Competence Center Technology-Diversity-Equal Opportunities e. V. (kompetenzz), and the German Informatics Society e. V. (GI).

Funding information

The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMFTR) under grant numbers 01FP24M03A, 01FP24M03B, and 01FP24M03C.
